Privacy Policy

Pearl ("the app," "we," "us") helps you manifest the life you want through personalized visualization stories and daily affirmations. We keep this simple and honest. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have.

What we collect

• Account. When you open the app we create an anonymous account for you automatically. We do not require your real name, email, or a password, and we do not ask you to sign in with a social account.
• Profile & desires. The name you enter and the focus areas and dreams you choose during setup (for example "a loving relationship" or "financial abundance") are used to generate your personalized visualizations.
• Your content. The desires you add and the visualization stories generated for you are stored on your device and backed up to your anonymous account so they survive a reinstall. They are protected by per-user access control — only your account can read them.
• Usage analytics. We collect anonymous usage events (like "app opened" or "story played") tied to a random install ID, to understand what's working. This is not tied to your name.
• Subscription status. When you subscribe, our payments partner (RevenueCat) records your subscription status so we know whether your access is active. Apple processes the actual payment — we never see your card or Apple ID password.

Sharing with third-party AI services (Google & OpenAI)

Pearl is an AI app. Your visualization text is generated by Google's Gemini API (Google LLC) and the spoken narration is generated by OpenAI's text-to-speech API (OpenAI, L.L.C.).

• What we send. To create a story we send the desire and details you provide (such as your first name and the dream you described) to Google to generate the text, and then that text to OpenAI to generate the audio.
• Who we send it to. Google LLC under Google's Gemini API terms and Privacy Policy, and OpenAI under OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
• How it's used. Solely to generate the story and audio you see and hear in the app. Under the paid API terms we use, your content is not used to train their models.
• Your permission. Before your first story is created, the app discloses this and asks you to agree. You can delete your data at any time in Settings.

Subscriptions & payments

Pearl offers auto-renewable subscriptions. All payments are handled by Apple through your App Store account — we never receive or store your payment details. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements and Superwall to present subscription options; both receive an anonymous identifier and your subscription status, not your name.

What we never do

• We never sell your personal data.
• We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not use advertising identifiers.
• We never access your photo library, contacts, or location.

Deleting your data

In the app: Settings → Delete Account permanently deletes your account, all of your data on our servers, and all data on your device. This is immediate and irreversible.

Data security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored with per-user access control. Backend services are provided by Supabase (database and authentication).

Age

Pearl is not directed at children under 13, and you must meet the minimum age required by the App Store rating to use it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date above. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
